What is Vana

Vana is a retreat that explores each aspect of wellbeing: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Its destiny is to be a place of true wellbeing.

Bringing together ayurveda, sowa rigpa, yoga, natural therapies, spa, fitness and aqua, the retreat provides many paths to start the journey towards greater personal wellbeing.

At Vana, each guest is seen as an individual entity and an opportunity to serve and enhance wellbeing, through wellness.

Vana means forest, and we believe in the nurturing and nourishing qualities of nature. Our 21-acre Retreat is in Dehradun, India, near clusters of reserve sal forest with the hills of Mussoorie to the north and the bustling small town of Dehradun to the east.

We are a retreat for guests who wish to be 'on retreat' and see it as a world in itself. Though at the crossroads of city and rural life, nature and urbanity, we are very much a place that looks within, that seeks to nurture and nourish each person individually.

Vana leaves its guests with different impressions. Some see it as an ashram of the contemporary world, others as an abode near the forest, and the romantics, as an ideal microcosm of real life.

To respect the sanctity of guest's on retreat at Vana, we are unable to welcome non-residents or offer visits of the retreat.
