May 10th – May 13th, 2018
Venerable Khenpo Sonam Phuntsho will also lead an immersive 3-day Short Retreat on ‘Glimpses of Buddhism’ at Vana in collaboration with Vana Foundation. A wonderful opportunity to delve deeper into the Buddha’s Wisdom with a teacher who has the most gentle, precise and eloquent style and spend time together with spiritual seekers across Vana’s beautiful spaces!
The retreat would begin on Thursday, 10th May with an evening session from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm followed by dinner. One must therefore arrive on the afternoon of 10th, any time after lunch. The retreat would conclude on Sunday, 13th May with lunch. We would spend most of the day together; beginning with breakfast and concluding with dinner. We will have approximately 4 one-hour sessions together each day. They will include:
In between there will be time for meals, rest and reflection and enjoying time together. On the evening of 12th, there is a ‘Kathak’ dance performance by Shivani Varma at a surprise outdoor location!
We will leave it on Khenpo Sonam La to decide spontaneously how he wishes to carry these sessions. It is imperative to attend the retreat in its entirety.
Treatments will not be available for those participating in the Short Retreat but continue to be available for non-participating Vanavasis on retreat at Vana. Treatments for Vanavasis on longer stay wishing to participate in the Short Retreat will be accommodated.
The fee for the Short Retreat includes your stay at Vana, attire, meals and transfers from Dehradun airport/train station and is inclusive of all taxes and charges. To share a room, you can find a Vanavasi, an existing Vana Foundation or Vidyaloke Shishya who is invited for this Short Retreat or you may leave it to us to assign another Shishya to share a room with you.
