24th December, 2018 – 6th January, 2019
A master in Anma, the Traditional Japanese body treatment, Terry is the founder of the Shiatsu School in Singapore.
It was his own back injury that had led Terry to pursue this path. He found that the Shiatsu methods were the most effective in resolving his back pain and stiffness than many other disciplines he had tried. Soon after, he left his successful career as a Financial analyst, to learn and practise Anma, the ancient form of Shiatsu and to spread its healing and benefits to many. Travelling across continents Terry has learnt from not less than ten traditional masters, including Shogo Mochizuki San.
Terry’s treatments are particularly known for structural issues like, back pain, knee pain, heel spurs, hormonal imbalance as well as stress relief. Terry is qualified in CAM practices such as Aromatherapy, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial release, Trigger point and Neuro muscular work and Advanced Myoskeletal work. This gives him the unique ability to customise his sessions to derive the best benefits and effects suitable to the individual. Yet, Terry confides that he tends to choose the Traditional Anma over other techniques most of the time as he finds it most effective.
Besides being a Principal at the Shiatsu school, teacher and spa trainer, Terry has also helped launch products, create signature treatments and build brands for companies like Chanel, Helena Rubinstein, Lamer, Jurlique and many more. He has been part of many successful spa opening projects too in Asia and Europe.
Terry will be in residence at Vana from December 24th, 2018 to January 6th, 2019.
Our consultants and specialists will have Terry’s treatments integrated into one’s wellness itinerary when and where found most needed and effective.
